THE RIVERTON COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION (RCA)
Riverton is a planned unit development (PUD) that was established in 1973 in the southwestern part
of the Town of Henrietta. It is a community with a current total of 920 residences (owned and
rented), as well as commercial property. The community is planned to include diverse housing
units, open space and common recreational facilities.
There are 240 rental apartments and townhouses throughout the neighborhood, a 54-unit rental
apartment complex for seniors, and 626 attached and detached homes (this number is growing).
There are also over three miles of lighted bikepaths, a pool complex with three outdoor pools, three
tennis courts, a basketball court, a softball diamond, multiple tot-lots, plentiful green space, a lake,
numerous ponds and a community center. The pool has an optional membership fee which goes
toward the operations of the pool. The master plan for future growth and the controlled exterior
changes of present, private and commonly owned property is managed by the Riverton Board of
Directors for the Riverton Community Association. There is an annual association assessment for
maintenance of common lands and operations of the Riverton Community Association.
The Riverton Covenants and By-Laws establish that the Riverton Board of Directors and the
Architectural Review Board endeavor to protect the value of Riverton property. Directors
are elected at an annual March meeting of all registered voters. The Architectural Review Board is
appointed by the Board of Directors annually. Both Boards' Members are volunteers. They meet
bi-monthly at the Betty Ann McDonald Community Center. Actions of these Boards are printed in
the monthly newsletter.
